About Allison
Perinatal & Reproductive Therapist, fellow Cyster
Therapy works best when you feel comfortable enough to show up exactly as you are. To encourage this, I bring a genuine, warm, and flexible approach where I show up as my whole self and adapt to what you need. I’ll bring humor to lighten the heavy stuff, patience through setbacks, and accountability when you're ready. My goal is helping you find your path to a more fulfilled life while leaving room for the mistakes, hurdles, and letdowns that make us human. Come as you are, every single session.
Throughout my years in community mental health, I kept noticing a pattern: women facing reproductive health challenges, body image struggles, and perinatal concerns were navigating not just their symptoms, but an entire system that often failed to see them fully. As a 'cyster' myself, I've sat in doctors' offices where my concerns were minimized, my pain was questioned, and my experience was reduced to a checklist. That's what drives my practice- I want to be the provider I needed when I was searching for support.
Whether you're Googling symptoms at 2am, caught in an anxiety spiral, grieving a pregnancy loss, or trying to feel like yourself again postpartum, I'm here for all of it.
Outside of the therapy room, you’ll find me spending time outdoors with loved ones, reading cheesy fiction books, finding joyful movement, and dabbling in new hyperfixation hobbies (most recent being crocheting). Can’t wait to learn more about what inspires you!

COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY
I am committed to creating space for conversations about diversity in my practice through the lens of cultural humility, which emphasizes that the learning process is ongoing and requires great self-reflection. I am committed to this continuous learning experience with a focus on allyship and advocacy for all of those I work with. I will continue to acknowledge the relationships between intersectional identities and the systems in place that greatly impact one’s health and wellbeing and work together to find pathways to healing while working within the confines of these systems.
TRAINING
I built my clinical foundation at Johns Hopkins Bayview, where I worked across multiple specialty clinics supporting adults facing life transitions, medical challenges, and mental health concerns. It was there I discovered my passion for supporting women through reproductive health journeys, body image struggles, and the perinatal period. I launched my private practice to focus exclusively on these areas, and now specialize in working with women navigating infertility, PCOS, pregnancy, postpartum, and disordered eating.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
I align most with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in my practice and utilize Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) for OCD. I also incorporate Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction in therapy. I operate from a Health at Every Size (HAES) approach when working with body image and disordered eating.
